Our Story
Born from a passion for craftsmanship and a love of working with timber, Axe & Timber is rooted in tradition, creativity, and a commitment to quality.

In 2021, founder Charlie stepped away from the fast-paced rat race in search of something more meaningful — and found it in timber.
What started as a personal project building garden chairs, benches, and recycling stores soon grew into a deeper craft. As he experimented with different wood species and joining techniques, Charlie developed the skill and confidence that would eventually shape Axe & Timber.

The turning point? Building what is now the Axe & Timber headquarters — crafted entirely with traditional framing methods. That hands-on experience, blending old-world techniques with modern design sensibility, laid the foundation for every project we take on today.

Now, with a growing team and years of experience working with oak, Douglas fir, larch, and more, Axe & Timber is proud to offer bespoke timber buildings that are as beautiful as they are built to last.
